 Bulgarians play at the very debut of table tennis as a full medal sport in the Olympic Games– “Seoul ‘88”.

Daniela Gergelcheva ranked among the best 16, while Mariano Lukov was knocked out in the preliminary groups. Gergelcheva took part in the Games in “Barcelona ‘92” as well, but she did not mange the sifting.
