IOC will send wrestlers to train in our country for the Olympic games 2012. They will practice at the European training center “Diana’ in Sofia.
Their staying will be financed by the IOC Program “Olympic Solidarity”. Details of the contract were specified with Olivier Niamke, a manager of the Sub-Program “Sportsmen”, a part of “Olympic Solidarity”, during his visit in Bulgaria.
The Tripartite Contract, including IOC, BOC and Bulgarian Wrestling Federation will be ratified in November this year. IOC will grant Individual Scholarships for 2 years to the wrestlers.
In the recently reconstructed Sports complex “Diana” wrestlers from more than 30 countries more for the last two years attended the classes. The Gym has enough space for more than 100 wrestlers to practice at the same time.
